Privacy Policy

Dubai Events (dubaievents.ai and the web app at dubaievents.ai/app) is an independent guide to events in Dubai. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal data we handle and why. We aim to comply with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, “PDPL”).

Who we are

Dubai Events is operated by xLabs Artificial Intelligence Developing Services L.L.C S.O.C, Dubai, UAE, which is the controller of your personal data. Contact: info@dubaievents.ai.

What we collect

  • Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address, your page language (English or Arabic) and the time you signed up. We use it only to tell you when the app launches and about major updates to Dubai Events. Legal basis: your consent, given with the checkbox on the form.
  • Location (optional). If you tap “Near me”, your browser asks for permission. Your location is used on your device to show nearby events and distances. We do not send it to our servers or store it. To show the map around you, the map provider receives the map area being viewed (see below).
  • Saved events and settings. Events you save, your language and an offline copy of the event list are stored in your own browser (local storage and cache). They stay on your device; we cannot see them. Clearing your browser data removes them.
  • No accounts, no analytics, no advertising. There are no user accounts. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not set tracking cookies.

Service providers who process data

  • here.now hosts the website and app and stores the waitlist. Like any web host, it processes technical data such as IP addresses in server logs to deliver and protect the service.
  • Google Maps (Google LLC) provides the map in the app. When you open the map, your browser loads it from Google, which receives your IP address and the map area viewed under Google’s Privacy Policy. If Google Maps is unavailable, the map loads from OpenStreetMap instead.
  • Event sources. Event images and links come from the organisers’ and ticket sites (for example Eventbrite, AllEvents, Luma, Meetup and Dubai World Trade Centre). Loading an image or opening a link connects you to that site, which has its own privacy policy.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UAE. We only use providers that apply appropriate safeguards, as the PDPL requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist email until you ask us to remove it or we close the waitlist, whichever comes first. We do not sell or rent personal data.

Your rights

Under the PDPL you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive a copy, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email info@dubaievents.ai and we will reply within 30 days. You may also complain to the UAE Data Office.

Children

The waitlist is not intended for children under 18. Some listings are family events; that does not mean we collect children’s data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell waitlist members by email.
